2005 class focuses on painting the French King Bridge over the Connecticut River
These intensive day-long experiences immerse you in art work, remove you from ordinary distractions and move you forward in a way that single classes once a week can’t provide.
Limited to 6-8 painters at a time in our spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bath, house (if space, some non-painters could join us at reduced fees if sharing your room & dbl. bed). Plenty of class space for on-island residents or those in separate lodging. Arrive Sunday afternoon, June 1 and depart Saturday morning, June 7. If just staying a few days, you must arrive the night before you begin painting with us. Whole days of salt spray, ocean breezes and joyful painting on sites all over the island. Visit galleries, local eateries and enjoy the island off season! Minimum needed: 4 students.
The goal of this workship is to increase your confidence in the flexibility of acrylics by offering many situations and opportunities, indoors and out, weather permitted. Plan to work on 2 paintings each day! Bring your own supplies; list provided. This is a wonderful facility in the heart of the Green Mountains. You can commute or stay nearby – many overnight options. Bring lunch, eat out or join us at the Farm. Some motels/B&Bs provide lunchs for overnight students. Housing (shared bath) and all meals are available at the Farm in the summer, estimated charges : $75 dbl; $85 single. www. fletcherfarm. org; 802-228-8770 Minimum needed: 4 students.
Full day outdoor painting with lunch breaks on site. Painting sites include adobe walls and arches, distant mesas, colorful cliff formations, ranch buildings, Rio Grande River & gorge, desert and mountain views. Car pool trips to Abiquiu, Taos environs. All levels of experience welcome! Bring all painting supplies (list provided); there is an excellent art supply store in Taos. I have painted annually in this area since 1997 and feel it is my second home. Come join me! You’ll fall in love with northern New Mexico! Minimum needed: 4 students.
Arrive Thursday night for fun dinner and briefing at Louise’s Millworks Studio at The 1834 Montague Mill in Montague Center. The next three days will be packed with colorful painting sites throughout the Valley, from vistas & farm stands to dramatic bridges & rivers, from lovely ponds to historic villages. Min. 4 students needed
We will work in my Millworks Studio space, focusing on some challenging still life material, perhaps trying portrait work, finishing some painting “starts,” or any other ideas students have. Three full days of art saturation with on-site lunches at the Café or bring your own. 10 – 4 daily
You can schedule a private three hour, 1 or 2 person class most any Friday. While the studio is open to the public 12-5 pm, (unfortunately) it is not busy, and I am able to provide plenty of instruction during that time. In nice weather, you can paint outdoors at the Mill - lots of subject matter! You must reserve this time ahead so I can build it into my schedule. Even one class session is fine! Or once a month!
